I love all your fall leaves, Meg - and reading your post about 'beginning to look like fall here...the red oaks are not in full color yet....', I have to say that for some reason, here on our place, the 'colors' of fall have never been much to look at. This year, we are JUST beginning to see bright yellows and golds on our trees (just a tinge of reddish brown is turning on a few small red oaks) Most of our trees are honey locusts, and they've never been anything to admire in the fall - this year I am amazed at how pretty and colorful they are.

My pink dogwood is always the first here and it is beautiful..reds and burgandy..Our red oaks were wonderful last year close to Thanksgiving..Mostly see yellow foliage on roadsides and in the ravine.
