I was told that this was bound to happen
There are two kinds of people who ride motorcycles
Those that have been down
and those that are going down
Well, last week was my turn
I suppose being hit from behind five years ago
Didn't count

Stopped, waiting to feed into traffic
Driver not paying attention
WHAM! and over I went
It was my turn I suppose
Well, I have been down

But I got up
and limped the huge bike home
That was perhaps most important
and also another part of motorcycle creed
Get back on the horse asap
The bike is now in the shop
and I have been in and out of the doc's office
An unpleasant reminder
of riding's reality
