When did kids stop saying thank you for all the candy they're getting. I am running about 1 in 4 of the kids saying thank you, and I am not talking about the little ones either. Only about half are even saying trick or treat. I also saw some parents following the kids in their car, and I am on a small circle street. Are they just too lazy to walk with the kids?
Not very many kids here because of the weather, but about half of the ones that did come out didn’t say “Trick or Treat”. With a smile and a little prompting, all them eventually complied. :)
Every one of them did say “thank you” though. I did notice a couple of parents in cars. I do think that’s a little odd.
Trick or treat!
Every child/preteen who visited us this evening made sure to say “Thank you.” Some were actually rather animated when they did so.
Smiling parents were also in attendance. Nice evening overall.
We live in a suburb of Houston. Perhaps there is hope yet; at least in this part of the country.
I find myself asking this a lot when pics of Michelle are posted-——is that photoshopped?
You know, a cheap way to get by Halloween is just to stick an empty “honor bowl” out front with a sign saying please take one. Everyone will think that someone already came by and took the bowl. The thought crossed my mind once or twice.
We’d never do it, we like giving out candy.
(Joke.)
