I have been using Kaspersky for 3+ years now and it is extremely thorough.

In fact, it is so extensive that I have to turn it off when using and downloading some software because it prohibits their proper functioning.

Also, because Kaspersky likes to update itself daily, you can find your computer slowed down during the update.

When mine gets in the way of my daily usage, I just turn it off until I go to bed.

Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
