I got rid of my TV three years ago and don’t miss it. A friend of mine watches stuff like Dexter, Californication, and Nurse Jackie... I saw about 5 minutes of a each of them and said, “I can’t watch any of this. Can we just turn it off and go out and get a drink or something??” I mean, it’s disgusting stuff. Truly, crap you just don’t need in your head.
We don’t really miss it either. There are a very few shows, but you can wait a year and get it on DVD - my husband and I liked the John Adams mini-series and now we’re watching the first season of Mad Men, but that is it for 12 years. Well, he’ll go out to watch the occasional football game or see the World Series.
