THE SADDEST THING EVER
Wrong. The saddest thing ever (animal related) was when my wife and I took our kids to the beach. We backed our car out of the garage, and closed the garage door with our remote. Flash forward 5 hours. We pull into the driveway, and see our cat’s head and front legs sticking out from bottom of the garage door. This was on a Saturday, in an enclosed community in Florida. People walked around our neighborhood all day long, and we were at the horseshoe end of a curve. Anybody driving or walking down the street would have seen our cat squished beneath the door. I remember telling our kids (6 & 8) to “close your eyes!” as we pulled into the drive. We had a kitty funeral in the backyard 30 minutes later. It was “THE SADDEST THING EVER.”
