Meet the world's toughest coyote.
Daniel East and his sister, Tevyn, were driving at night along Interstate 80 near the Nevada-Utah earlier this month, when their car slammed into a coyote that scurried in their path, reported Rex Features.
Believing there was no way the wild animal could survive the 75 mph collision, the pair kept driving for eight more hours to their destination, where they finally inspected the damage to their car.
But it did manage to survive being dragged for 600 miles.
"Immediately I saw a ton of fur and said, 'Sis, don't look, this is bad,'" David East told the photo agency.
When the coyote started moving, however East realized the animal had survived - and was trapped between the front grill and the radiator of their car.
A local animal control expert was called to the scene and managed to extricate the coyote - which had survived its ordeal with only a few scrapes on its paw.
The animal, named Tricky and moved to a kennel at the rescue worker's home to recuperate, later escaped by wriggling under the bars of its cage, reported Rex Features.
"We named it Tricky for a reason," Daniel East said.
A coyote dubbed 'Tricky' peers out of the gap between a car's radiator and grill after being hit and trapped for eight hours...

I had no idea Coyotes could run that fast! :) Catching the roadrunner should have been a piece of cake.
I’m sorry but I hate coyotes...they have eaten far too many of my beloved pets.

I bet he wouldn’t survive a bullet.
I call bs.
Not passing smell test.
What car has a +600 mile range? Grasshoppers hit a car at 45 mph obey the laws of physics by squashing. Why should a coyote being hit by a car going 75 mph be immune to the laws of physics?
This coyote was indubitably intended to live. Would that be a silver bullet?

Fortunately it was an Acme car.
I agree. Imagine hitting any large animal at 75 MPH and not pulling over immediately to check the front end of your car. 600 miles? Potty/food break?
Coyotes are pretty strong animals, just shy of being a wolf in fact. They may even be in the same family of animals as wolves anyway. They both howl. They both are scavengers. And that is why very young children and small pets need to be protected from them especially in outlying and wilderness areas.
The cars was, doubtless, an “Acme”.
This story was on FR the other day.
I call BS also.
I once saw a car at the GM Proving Grounds that hit a duck at about 80 mph.
It took the carburetor right off the top of the manifold.
After all of those failures Acme finally comes through for the coyote.
Back up and hit it again.
This idiot hit something at 75 MPH and didn't bother to stop, get out, and visually inspect the damage at the time, checking for potentially dangerous damage?
The whole story is suspect.
Who doesent stop and get out after hitting an animal? I wonder how that conversation went.
ouch
if it did that to the front of a stock car (especially that super strong front end splitter)
you can imagine what would happen to a roller skate car
