Wilbur Mills (D) was chairmain of the House Ways and Means Committee in 1974. He carried on a torrid affair with Fanne Foxe, An Argentine stripper which came to an end at 2 am when his car wobbled near the Tidal Basin. Police pulled him over and Fanne jumped from the car into the water. Mills resigned his position two months later.
