MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG-TV) - The City of Memphis Animal Shelter was the scene of a early morning raid by Shelby County deputies Tuesday morning.
Shelby County District Attorney Bill Gibbons and Shelby County Sheriff Mark Luttrell say deputies with the Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the shelter located at 3456 Tchulahoma Road and temporarily secured the facility as part of an investigation into alleged animal abuse and cruelty.

Happens more often than you think . . . it takes some special people and terrific organizational skills to run an animal shelter. Some folks simply ain’t up to the task.

In times past that shelter used to at least humanely hold the animals. What I see now from the report is sickening. Looks like someone was chummy with Willie and wasn’t up to the job.
