Not if you buy a new computer every 18 months.
I really dislike the ‘next generation’ program crap. I purchased a drawing program from Broderbund which worked fine on my Windows 98 computer. Now, with a Windows Vista Home Premium laptop I cannot open the files carried over because it requires a ‘d3drm.dll’ file which is not included in Vista. And I can’t find a way to acquire said file so I can use my paid for files! Same thing with a wireless mouse and keyboard, Vista won’t recognize it and it is a Microsoft product!
