The story seems fishy.
Please stop by the FReepathon thread and give it a bump. If you haven’t donated yet, please give it some thought.
Thank you!
Why?
Damn that pit bull gets around, you would have thought someone would have caught it by now considering all the damange it has done.
Didn't hear what happened to the dog, or the owner of the dog.
Will do as soon as our check arrives! I do not know what we would do without Free Republic! Thank you for the reminder!
Thank you tajgirvan!!
Q up the PB apologists. Ours wouldn’t harm a fly, it never showed any sign of aggression, etc.
Of course. That is what they always say until their ‘special’ PB rips someone apart.
dog of peace
She has gotten loose only once and was found on a Sunday morning at nearby church where she was being fed cookies by the children! My Mother called the Police to ask for help and I thought for sure it would make the noon T.V.News (Mom lives near L.A.,CA.)but the Police just said;
"You better hurry before someone else takes this pup home!"
Maybe this dog is one in a million.They can't all be bad. My Mother treats the dog like a dog with Love, discipline and exercise. My son walks her everyday to socialize her and has never had a problem with anyone.
I worked for a Veterinarian while in college, he told me a story of a woman that had a Doberman Dog. She had had the dog for seven years without a problem, one day "he" turned on her and ripped out her throat! The reason for the story was to make me aware that there is always a dangerous dog waiting to rip my face off, it really depends on the breed. I consider her the one in a million, but still she is a PITT and just because of her I do NOT TRUST Pitt Bulls as far as I can throw them.
“I consider her the one in a million, but still she is a PITT and just because of her I do NOT TRUST Pitt Bulls as far as I can throw them.”
That’s really too bad because it is actually the other way around. Very, very few pit bulls have taken a life compared to their population. The ones that do are one in about four million, according to estimates on the population of pit bull-type dogs in the U.S.
Your mother just knows how to be a responsible dog owner. It isn’t that her dog is a rare type, just actually cared for. How unfortunate for all of us that a few horrible dog owners have made people second-guess themselves on a breed that was once revered as a wonderful family companion and reliable working dog. Hopefully the breed falls out of favor of the idiot punks and backyard breeders, and they disappear from the spotlight, as Dobies, GSD, and even Bloodhounds have in the past after becoming too popular.
