This week the White House released the much-anticipated official Obama family photo on its Flickr page.
The portrait was taken in the Green Room of the White House on September 1 by famed Vanity Fair photographer Annie Leibovitz, notable for her decades of work capturing the images of rock stars and Hollywood's elite as well as for her multimillion-dollar fortune's recent collapse.
The seated and beaming first family looks happy and relaxed, with Sasha and Malia Obama each draping an arm over mom and dad.

What a lousy photographer !!!
They should have swapped the two girls in that photo to get a better contrast between the adults shirts and the children’s shirts.
As it is, the white shirt on the daughter and on Obama blend together.
As does the dark shirt on the other daughter and on her mother.

I agree. And the posing is a little odd. I think it could’ve been a much better portrait of a good looking family.
There is one young woman in that photo deserving of our respect. Can you pick her out?

On it's face, I think the photo sucks for an official family photo
One would think the Obama family would take a more dignified looking picture. It simply doesn't look official, more like a social event

Look for the former POW from the first Iraq war. Any way to slice it, she’s deserving of our gratitude. The BWA’s around her are another story.
