WASHINGTON The Washington Redskins front office capped a week of high drama Friday with an unexpected vote of confidence in coach Jim Zorn.
"Jim Zorn is the head coach of the Washington Redskins and will be for the rest of this season, and hopefully into the future," executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato said on his radio show on ESPN980.

What’s the records?
Dallas: 3-2-0
Washington: 2-4-0
‘Nuff said.
The Cowboys three wins have come against such powerhouses as Tampa Bay, Carolina and Kansas City. Well at least they didn’t lose to Carolina and Kansas City like the Redskins, but still.
lol, I’m a big skins fan, for the record.
FedEx field has been named a safe place to go to during a tornado watch. There has been no touchdowns this year.
Rumors also have it that Tom Cruise is going to be the next head coach. Snyder was over heard saying “that guy can play anything”
you must enjoy failure. the last time the cowfrauds won a playoff game, bill clinton was president and I wasn’t old enough to drink.
My first blog stated that the big problem is with the O-line. So in my mind to help an O-line out, let them attack instead of defend - run the ball. An average guard or tackle looks like a pro bowler when he gets to hit the defender when and where he wants to. He looks like a chump when he is asked to pass block a pro bowl DE. Remember what Marty Schotenhiemer did with skins when they were in the post Norv Turner turnaround era - run the ball. Prove to your team that they can play NFL football by establishing a run. If you can’t do it - fine, then there is next year, but if you can do it, then you still have a season. Zorn is too quick to abandon the run, and thus puts a mediocre offensive tackle in the position to defend the pass rush. This results in Jason dodging a sack on his third step. Play Marty ball - establish a run game. There are no miracles at this point in the season, Jason isn’t going to become Joe Montana, and we aren’t going to find a pro-bowl number two receiver, so why expose our biggest weakness (pass defense) repeatedly? Let the team focus on a the run. If it starts to work great, if not, okay. Do you really think Campbell is going to be back next year? So why invest in something that won’t be? Find out who in the second tier of linemen can run block and plan on drafting 1st and 2nd round linemen next year.
Breaking news, long time veteran Chris Samuels has informed the team that he is retiring.
There are exactly four critical positions on any NFL team, i.e. owner, general manager, head coach, and personnel director. Any sort of a big problem at one of those positions, and nothing else you can do will help. The skins have two such big problems, i.e. Snyder and Cerrato.
Was in sports bar in Maryland last Sunday. The Skins fans cheered when the network lost the game feed and had to switch to another game....
