So my son was slouching at his desk in his reading class. The teacher comes up and says " If Obama walked in this class right no, what do you think he'd think about you?".
My son answered..."That I'm slouching?"
Teacher.."But what do you think he'd think ABOUT you?"
Son.." That I'm being lazy?"
Teacher.." and don't you want to make Pres. Obama proud? Don't you want to please him?"
I was stunned..I bust out laughing because it sounds so silly! I told my son I'm glad he didn't smart off about Obama because she is grading him, but that didn't seem appropriate (aside from sounding stupid) and to let me know if she does this kind of thing again. My son..know to be a bit of a drama king, kept exclaiming that she is trying to indocrinate him. I told him he's too smart for it to work..:)
Not to the teacher, who sounds like one of those women who was fainting in ecstasy at Obama rallies, no point talking to her which will just be an argument. Go right over the teacher’s head and talk to the Principal. The teacher needs to be corrected by the principal so other students, especially those less savvy than your boy, won’t be subjected to this confusion and badgering. Of course the principal is also probably an NEA-brainwashed leftist Obama worshipper, but at least he/she will HEAR from a parent that this is not considered acceptable behavior, and perhaps realize he better keep this in check in his classrooms.
A self reminder to ask my kids what they would have said. I can’t wait to hear what my one daughter (12 years) will say. She’s a hoot.

The sad reality is that this does remind me exactly of a cult. Jonestown on a grand scale. The people teaching our children are Kool-Aid drinkers and they are trying to turn our children into Kool-Aid drinkers too. I have had some experiences with cults and what I am seeing is truly frightening.

Not related to the Obama cult, but I was just telling my wife about a couple of lousy teachers my kids have. They should be brought up to the roof and offered the option of retirement or getting pushed off. I’m serious. The amount of harm that some of these teachers are doing to some of their students might be forever. And I’m just talking 2+2 stuff. We are involved enough to help our kids in spite of the teachers, but what about the kids where the parents don’t care?
Uh..we did private catholic school for 6 years...but my son has some ADHD going on and the private school didn’t really care. If a student cant keep up w/ the “fast track” kids, well too bad. I hated to go to public school, but really we live in not a bad area..county tends to vote republican. My son is doing so much better has gained some confidence back. Let’s face it...the public school usually have more resourced available thanks to all our taxes. this is the first incident we’ve had in two years. Our schools (elementary for my other two boys) still have Christmas concerts!

Giving a dear leader disapproval speech to a 12 yr old in the 7th grade. Unbelievable. (a critical age and grade level...) Did the school force your son to watch obama’s televised speech?
I also made sure that I got a good handle on what the speech would be about before hand. Typical Obama, a lot of it was patting his own self on the back. My son also knows what a narcissist he is.

You are 100% right. Look at what has already been done to them. I taught my son to think for himself. America might as well have elected Charles Manson to the presidency. Shall the blind (teachers) lead the blind (children) and shall they not all fall into a ditch (little “o”). These teachers are the product of our teaching colleges. Believe me, I have met more than a few of them and most of them are whack jobs. The whole public and private educational system has been compromised. Many of the 60’s radicals determined that the best route toward reaching their goals was infiltration and eventual control of the educational system. They got there before we did.
Look at little-o and his minions. Constantly manipulating the sheep with distraction while they do their evil workings behind locked doors. That anyone could be elected based upon a campaign of hope and change (may the sheep voters fill in the blanks) is frightening. We have allowed our degeneration to the point where we have become a morally bankrupt people and consigned our children to a future of indentured servitude. All the sacrifice of those that came before us and it was counted for naught and America was thrown out with the garbage.
I weep.
I probably would have said something to the effect, “Yeah Obama is just so awesome, especially the way he walks on water, cures the blind and the lame.”
I agree with the comment about ‘being a muslim for a week.” You pull that stunt on my kids, they are outta there. Thankfully I live in a red area anyways.
