DUI in a stolen motorized Wal-Mart shopping cart

Marcos Urbano may have taken Wal-Mart’s customer service a little too far. Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a Napa police officer southbound on Soscol Avenue, north of Lincoln Avenue spotted something unusual driving toward him in the northbound fast lane. As he approached the object, he discovered it was a motorized shopping cart for the disabled, worth $3,000 from Wal-Mart on Lincoln Avenue.
The officer stopped the driver — Urbano — who apparently had driven the cart from the store northbound on Soscol, police said.
Urbano, 24, of Napa, was arrested on suspicion of felony grand theft, driving under the influence and not possessing a valid drivers license. “It was a dangerous situation. The cart doesn’t have any lights and it was dark, and he was in the fast lane of the roadway,” Napa Police Sgt. Tom Pieper said. _________________
