You cam register as a member of the New York Conservative Party, but not as a “conservative.” It means you can only vote in the Conservative Party primary, not the GOP or dem primaries.
So this process gives the voter a Liberal Republican, a Liberal Democrat and a Third Party Conservative to choose from.
So if there were a Conservative Republican and a Third Party Conservative running against a Liberal Democrat, the chances of the Democrat getting elected seem greater.
Is this a wise way to go? ...for New York state, other states and federal elections?
