Franklin was truly amazing. He was so beloved in France, that it was said that there was not not one mantle in Paris that did not have a miniature portrait of him. He was a rock star in the 18th century.

He was ALWAYS a doer...when Braddock and Colonel Washington needed wagons in 1754 during the French and Indian War, it was Franklin who procured them.
