It also appears that the story has changed. All of the original stories said it occurred at 5:30 not 8:30. There was also at least one report that the mom and child were using his yard as a shortcut.
If indeed it did occur at 8:30 and he was standing in a front window in the alltogether, then I would probably have a hard time defending him.
I based my defense of him on the stories from yesterday and the fact that I have been known to walk about my house in attire (lack there of) I would not if I were out in public.
It looks like the version that said it was 5:30 came from the guy himself. The police are saying that it was 8:30 and the guy’s roommates are saying that he was probably drunk.
If that is the case, why weren't all the initial reports of this corrected to reflect the error?
Also what about the reports of the woman using this guys yard as a shortcut? That is the point that really bugs me.
Because they're initial reports. I think that the guy went public with this, since he's the only one quoted in the initial articles. The police statement says that since the story went national, they decided to break their normal policy and state their side of the story. This follow-up story is the correction.
