BusinessWeek magazine seems to have jumped the gun on Apple's announcements today
- the Apple Store is still down in the US and UK,
but BusinessWeek's story is up,
saying there are upgrades to the MacBook and iMac lines.
[Update: perhaps we were just being cached to death
- everyone else seemed to see the products while we were getting the same no-show.
But this is still a prebrief - read on.]

Still no price drop. You have to get a pro to get a machine with any kind of decent power. the little macbooks can’t play games.

And still no Bluray.
That Dell XPS studio with windows 7 is looking better and better with Apple upgrading its equipment at a snail’s pace.

I'm sorry, but Apple news, like this, shouldn't be "Breaking". I'm beginning to detect a bit too much Apple fanboi-dom here on FR.
I am an Apple FAN, just not a fanboi. Fanbois are, quite frankly, embarrassing.

Bit they are more than enough for oh so many things. Gaming is not the only thing that computers are useful for -——in fact I prefer a stand a lone system for gaming still allows for better graphics, faster response, etc etc all the things that have always been true

And yet if it had been some other computer company perhaps releasing some half hacked iupgrade to an old operating system you probably would be out there dancing in the streets

So the Guardian's breaking business News

The new mouse is SLICK. Multi-touch/gesture responsive - OK, so a mouse may not be huge news, but it's the biggest step in mice since the scroll wheel.

Go ahead and show me one time where I posted i breaking news anything about an OS upgrade.
Just because you are in love with a machine, don't take your personal issues out on the rest of us.

The other introductions may just be incremental upgrades, but they’re still appreciated. LED-backlit LCD - nice improvement. More memory, more speed, slicker packaging, same price is always appreciated in the product line. Mac Mini Server is a curious introduction; small market, but someone will be very happy about it.
Funny how the anti-fanbois come out just to bash the fanbois thread. At least the latter have the courtesy to start & stick to their own thread; the former just have to crash the party to tell the others how stupid they are - nice.

with Unix© Server Software for $999
is big breaking business news
