How does one keep goat meat from tasting like the smell of a goat farm?

I dunno? I would guess it's in the way their slaughtered. I've heard several old black folks say you can't scare them before you stick them.

That is true with cattle also...I had a friend that raised black Angus, one got tangled up in the electric fence. By the time they found it, it was dead of shock and the meat ended up being thrown out...The taste of a animal killed like that is different than just plain butchered.. It has to do with the hormones the animal releases when under long term stress....
