In contrast, in Arab culture, there is time in abundance. It can be wasted indefinitely. After all, it is not necessary to do everything here and now. This is one of the prominent cultural phenomena of what is humorously defined as an IBM culture: inshaAllah (if God wills it), buqra (tomorrow), Ma`lish (it is nothing). This is the reason for the totally different approach to negotiations among the Arabs, for the lack of speed in agreeing to accords, and for the tendency to postpone till tomorrow dealing with complex problems. In Western culture, everything is viewed as a window of opportunity, in an admired and attractive expression. Time is valuable and should be quickly and efficiently exploited. Meanwhile, in Arab culture, the belief is that one should not hurry, since haste is the work of Satan (al-`ajalah min al-shaitan), and one should not hurry, not even for blood vengeance.

Thank you, Mr. Jaguar. ;-)
Is this part of the reason Arabs seem so creepy?
Kind of has that cairish feel to it.
Thanks Oorang.
They used to say that Saudi Arabia was “an IBM country.” The “Inshallah” meant “god willing,” the buqra meant “tomorrow,” and “ma’lesh” meant “no matter if it does or doesn’t happen.”
“I saw a host in the sun. I stared at the sun for hours, and I saw a host in it.”
Host? I’m still spooked by the little black spot on the Sun today. It was the same little black spot as yesterday. Seriously, I was standing outside in the pouring rain ...
But host?
I think the reason they seem creepy is because of their creepy cultural norms, especially the one about shaving from navel to knee, front and back, but not the face.
Thanks for the translation.
Translation please..?
Better yet...Let's all just guess...
At a Religion of Peace Mosque they've passed the Blow myself up for Allah stage, are deep into murderous tirades against infidels and are heading towards deep doo doo at a rapid rate of speed....
Was I close?
Yes. If you stare directly into the sun, you will eventually see the Host.
And I thought they were creepy before...
Let’s just say I know a soldier (my friend’s daughter’s son)stationed in Germany who on the first day they were allowed to go off base because of the threat was attacked by a few idiots of the Islam persuasion. He was lucky his sergeant was with him. A couple of the soldiers are in the hospital and at least one was stabbed. His sergeant slit the throat of one of those scumbags and my friends son threw a couple of them through a plate glass window. My friend may be small, but he was a wrestler in high school.

ICSR.info - FREEradicals - blog: "JIHADISM IN GERMANY: AN UPDATE" by Peter Neumann (SNIPPET: "With the elections over, the immediate danger seems to have passed. The jihadist threat, however, continues to be high on the BfV's agenda. The BfV speaker at the symposium highlighted the following trends: *An increasing number of 'home-grown' cells *The rising number of converts involved in jihadist activities *The increasing attractiveness of jihadism to Muslims of Turkish descent, who - for years - had been considered 'immune' to the jihadist message. The last point was backed up by an excellent speaker from the Hamburg state office. who provided extensive data on the ethnic affiliations and socio-economic characteristics of Hamburg-based jihadists, as well as Germany's leading expert on Islamist terrorism, Guido Steinberg of the German Institute for Security and International Affairs.")
