The goal is to destroy the economy and institute some form of communism, but in a way that keeps people motivated to keep going to work. That’s always been the cause of failure in other communist nations. Once the profit motive is gone, and all people are lowered to a subsistence level of living, they stop trying. Then production falls below the subsistence level and the trouble begins. They need to keep us working hard as they gut our economy and destroy our future.
Our manufacturing base has already been redistributed to other nations. Now the economy is shedding as many non-essential jobs as it can. The end result will be a third world nation (or nations) that is no longer a shining example to the world of the power of the individual.
Yes - but not written by David Kaiser or any historian. At least none that have claimed credit for the piece.
The message needs to get out and more people discussing what is going on the better.
We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why?
