I lived in Silicon Valley for many years and can attest to the same, however they are quite a bit more rare up here and this is the second one within a few years so the frequency is what I actually find more curious.

Day-em I hate these lousy posts that have no sliver of info...and a vanity at that.

Yeah......and you know what's worse? People who feel compelled to go through the article and then bitch about the poster. Dayem......if they'd only move on.

Yar, no worries. Something to talk about and rather amusing to see how easily irritated some people get. *laugh*

I just ignore the more ignorant ones and snicker at the ones that just post to complain. If they are not interested in more information then why don’t they just go sod off to somewhere else?

“Just had a sudden sharp quake here”

(please hear my friendly tone!)
Knowing where “here” is really helps.
I’ve probably made the same “faux paus” myself
(did I spell that right?).

I did experience a 4.5 at UCLA (epicenter was maybe 20 miles
east of UCLA).
It was an strange experience to see the large glass windows of the
Molecular/Biology building in UCLA’s South Campus wiggle a bit like
Jello during the short quake. (I admit, I was at the open-air vending
machines just north of the Biology building when I saw this!).

Now I’m in Mid-Missouri and more concerned about the New Madrid,
not the San Andreas fault (or the interlocked networks of each system).

Keywords: California, NorCal.

Think I'll take someone else's advice and put it in the title next time, lol!

When I just checked, as of a few minutes ago you have had the second most views this morning. The tallest cat was first. Most of the nay sayers would proud to have this many views.

Yar, so everyone is telling Me. *laugh* I am actually surprised how many people do not read keywords. Still, answering them is more interesting than watching the telly so no worries.

But your post was simply irrelevant and should not have happened. A 3.3 is nothing, nothing.

Good to know. That is one of the things I was interested in: how far it was felt.

I am in Northern California and feel them often enough, I don’t even pay attention.
