Just had a sudden sharp quake here
Have a very good friend in Paradise — how close to there?

Quake here:
USGS: A minor earthquake occurred at 8:47:29 AM (PDT) on Sunday, October 18, 2009. The magnitude 3.3 event occurred 7 km (4 miles) S of Spring Garden, CA. The hypocentral depth is 3 km ( 2 miles).
All’s quiet on the New Madrid fault line.

I’ve lived in LA for 60 years. A 3.3 is chump change.
My adopted Walker Hound pounced on the bed at full speed and then wrapped herself around my head and licked my nose profusely, to encourage me to get up and feed her this morning.
