wow. That is just awesome!

paper thin flexible lcd display.
disposable televisions.
roll it out on the wall of your living room and paste it into place with double side tape.
unroll it from pocket and watch the news on the subway.

portable led paper.

can’t wait for the japanese to create application for it. And for the chinese to mass produce it affordably.

Heck, you could tack it to the wall. They say the undamaged part of the display works fine even if you poke holes in it.

I also like the possibility that this will allow us to have larger displays on our laptops... Just fold them up and tuck them into the laptop's case when you're done.

Not LCD, this is an LED screen! Even better! This is truly amazing. Not that the large “LED TV’s” sold today are LED BACKLIT screens, they are still LCD. OLED (”Organic” LED, not some tree hugging crap, just the way they work), only light up the pixel they need to light up. Much lower power consumption, and better image. Super expensive right now, so they only make them in small screen versions. Price is coming down though...
