She accepted the guy's apology. That seems to count as 'letting it drop' to me.

I see no indication at all that the "offendee", Dr. von Simson, did anything out of line. Ronan Tynan, a jerk, apologized, the Doctor appears to have accepted, and that's about it.

BTW, it was not a private conversation, it was in fact a potential commercial transaction between Tynan's agent and a potential buyer, in which Tynann came very close to breaking the law.

In my view Tynan's actions were inexcusable, post apology the issue is pretty much over other than to the media, it is a story, and Tynan's "defenders".
