Flounder fillets, Salmon, Talapia, Roughy, Crawdad were all from China.
My gosh......do we produce anything but toothpaste anymore?
I live like 150 mi from Louisiana and the crawfish here is from China
Oops, too late! Check my post #27.
Many name brand toothpastes made in China.
Every year, during crawfish season, we harvest and/or buy several hundred pounds of live mudbugs. We enjoy many crawfish boils throughout the season and any that are left are shelled and the tail meat is vacuum sealed and frozen so that we can have crawfish dishes the remainder of the year. We can buy huge purged crawfish live for $1.25 a pound. I consider it one of the blessings of living in Louisiana.
About the fish from China ... since they use antibiotics that we don’t use in food animals, I don’t buy any fish from China, as far as I know.
I buy Alaska salmon and that’s about it.
We got some salmon fillets at Aldi’s once and they looked kind of funny.
I believe there were abscesses in teh meat.
Read label. Product of China. Threw out the package.
We raise our own beef and chicken and are lucky we can do so. It’s some peace of mind. But we’re having a hard time getting the salmon to do teh free-range grass-fed thing ;-)
