All brown spiders will bite and cause a moderate painful bump. You should go to the Doctor, as the danger from any venom bite is a secondary infection. This potential infection results from not only the fang and puncture wound, but also from the fact that all spider venom causes the flesh to disolve wich can lead to a feast for bacteria.

If you’re dizzy go get it checked you could be allergic to something that to anyone else might not be a problem. But if you’re not dizzy, if you have jewelweed around your place [it’s usually around creeks] or impatiens in the flower bed, grab a handful of those plants, mash them up until they are juicy and hold them over the spot. They will make the pain go away from any kind of sting, even wasp and scorpion, if the sting hasn’t scabbed over. Works on poison ivy outbreaks too.

That is an interesting "alternative" therapy. An excellent herbalist in SW New Mexico gave me a formula for an herbal poultice that heals from the inside out but I neglected to write it down.

But! I did a search not too long ago and found that there are two or three websites that sell "Spider bite kits" that are very close to the same formula. Their websites also provide good pics of the top offending spiders and the results of their bites so both spider and bite can be identified.

I think the fix for a moose bite is to dip the wounded limb in melted Swiss cheese fondue, staple the wound shut, and then cover it with duct tape.

Ruskin? I don’t live anywhere near Ruskin. That’s in central Florida. I have friends in Tampa area and they have never seen any. South Florida has the big, black ones.

Bed bug possibly aka cone nose, asassin bug, kissing bug. Can carry Chaggas disease. If so it’s probably still in your bedding. Check between mattresses, under covers. If u find one, take it down to poison control. Watch out for symptoms of allergic reaction.

Spiders are everywhere. In South FL I see fewer spiders than anywhere I have ever lived or visited. I never have spiders in the house and rarely see them outside. Only the crab garden spiders once in a while and they are small. In the wooded areas you will see the big banana spiders. Scorpions are far more common and I see those at least once each summer. They go away from Nov. to June.... at least they hide, usually aren’t out moving around at night.
We have been in this house for 12 years now and I have seen one in the house. It crawled out from under my desk in the sunroom while I was sitting here. It probably crawled in when I had the back door open. We never bring anything inside that was left outside overnight, without checking. They love to hide in shoes, bags, you name it. creepy suckers, can’t stand them.

"Its just a small little red bump, with a very tiny little bump or head so tiny you can only see it under direct light.

It painful, like a ingrown hair, not excruciating.
"

I've had some of those, and they weren't serious.

"But a bit of, I guess numbness extends into my pinky and towards my wrist,..."

There was no numbness, though, and I don't know what kind of spiders they were.

There were more serious spider bites, when I was in the field. Black widows hurt immediately but feel far less intense than rattlesnake bites. I didn't notice the brown recluse bites, until the bite areas started rotting.

That's racist!

Sometimes elephants can leave bites like the one you’ve described. Are there any holes in your door or window screens?

Listen, Lefty, get thee to a hospital so they can stop the spread of venom.

You are an idiot for not seeking medical help. I say this with greatest respect for you as a human, and Freeper.

My mother’s husband was bit by a Brown Recluse and let the bite slide for two days.

Now has one ugly ass, scar where the venom killed all the flesh within an area of about 4 inches.

GO TO THE HOSPITAL and GET SOME HELP.

You are obviously not qualified to fix this yourself and do not possess the tools to relieve the problem.

In fact, none of has those tools.

Do your best and take a an anticoagulant with benadryl.

But, for Christ’s sake, go to the doctor.

I had a tick 20 years ago and felt weird. They gave me some “tick fever” medicine and I slept for a week but, I am fine.

Skip that concern over money.

Your life is more important.

It is really not “alternative” therapy. There is a doctor near Ft. Worth that I have read has used the nitro patches successfully for almost 15 years with 100% success rate.

I had not heard about the spider bite kits.

One problem is that usually you do not see the spider that did it. In my case I crushed all evidence of the spider, and only determine what it was by the evidence of the bite.

In my case it was not an infection, it was an almost immediate reaction. Red ring around the bite, red shoots going away from bite, recessed area at bite. Doctor was confident it was a brown recluse bite.
