SNIP - - Now Favre is 5-0 for the first time in his career,

He's a regular Rooster Cogburn.

He's a regular Rooster Cogburn.

Nothing wrong with that.

As a Vikes fan he has been awesome. A very accurate passer and great leader. Ravens and Steelers next which should test us. I believe we can beat the Ravens and if we beat them the confidence level will be on fire for the Steelers and Pack again.

I no longer watch the NFL as it has deteriorated greatly. For the first time in maybe 10 years, I watched the Vikings and Packers simply because Favre was playing.

I was in grad school at Southern Miss when Favre was there. He had an arm like a cannon and made a few throws that I doubt any other person could have made.

After watching that Vikings/Packers game it was clear he still has the arm. He is a gamer which is his strongest attribute and at times a bit of a weakness.

Peterson has to pick up his game next week. If he does, they should win.

The guy is unreal.

I'm wondering if the 5 - 0 stat for Farve is true. I'd have thought he would have won 5 straight lots of times (unless that only means consecutive regular season games beginning with the first).

Not a huge fan - (I haven't had TV since '95).

I think the Vikes can beat the Ravens because they will stop the run and make Flacco beat us. AP will get his yardage or Favre will strive. People have been picking their poison lately. Brett has been more than willing to spread the ball around short long and intermediate. Vikings have to win home field advantage throughout the playoffs so every win is precious.

This is the best season in years. Especially with the rockin’ NFL “RedZone” Channel. Who needs Sunday Ticket? Today’s finishes were dramatic. Last Monday night’s Vikings/Packers game was amazing. And those Bengals. Just wow.

Attention Vikings Fans: He will break your heart later this season. Enjoy it while it lasts.

What makes the Vikings dangerous this season is the fact you try to stop “AP,” Favre will get you with his long passes. And the Vikings’ defense is just as frightening, too.

Would they rather have Tavares Jackson break their heart NOW?

Agreed!! Giants are the only team in the NFC that is equal to them we are playing against them for home field advantage which will make a difference.

Not a Vikings fan (unless you put me in the way-back machine with Sherman and take me back to the Tarkenton days) but I am a Favre fan. If he incites hope now, live with it. Tomorrow has yet to be written...regardless of the past.

Favre IS "football" and as a 47 year old couch potato - wannabe ball player, I celebrate his tenacity...wish it was still as Cheesehead, but...

Denver is kickin' butt...good for them and good for you.

This year has some great drama building already and just 5 games in...I am a Northern Mississippi transpant after living in Northern Virginia for the first 46 years of my life. The Titans (and all things college football) are the big things here. My 'Skins suck, as expected, but the Titans, who are huge here in the outskirts of Memphis???? They are a big surprise at 0-5, huh????

“Well, come see an fat old man sometime” - Rooster Cogburn [as he jumps the fence with his horse ...]

I have watched that scene many times in slow motion trying to ascertain that a stunt double did it.

I just don't know - frame by frame it looks like JW, but it cannot be, can it?

"Come see an old fat man" - - - I hope it catches on whenever Farve pulls off a good one!

I agree with you. The RedZone channel gets a lot of my attention. I’ve even thought of sending an email thanking them for it. Great idea whoever thought of it.
