I've seen worse descriptions of the wiener dog! :-D Once owning three of them at once (only one survives, and she's going on 14 :-( ) I've naturally read a lot of books on the dachshund. And here's something I've noticed : All the dog breed encyclopedia entries on the dachshund, all those dachshund breed books, invariably contain a line like this :

The dachshund's many attractive qualities outweigh any minor annoyances

The aforementioned "minor annoyances" ? Pretty much every personality and behavioral trait of the wiener dog as described in the entry or the breed book.

We dachshund owners have the one breed of dog which requires a disclaimer....Or a warning label.
