Where were all the prognosticators?
Everybody was caught flat footed. Nobody knew this would happen. The White House was caught flat footed. They knew he had been nominated but there was no expectation of winning. There was no countdown on the news about the Nobel, as they did for the Olympic thing.
And now the liberals are upset that Republicans don’t appreciate this great honor and achievement. The liberals aren’t being honest that they too were flat footed and can’t really explain what big achievements won this award for Obama. So it’s back to attacking Republican over the Republican reaction to the news, rather than the news itself.
Antbody that brought peace to the streets of Chicago is more than deserving of the award
I find it rather interesting that Zero, just before this ‘farce’, thinks that Al Qaeda is more of a threat than the ‘Tolly-bon’ and that the ‘Tollies’ should be legitimized in government matters. Hmmmmmmmmm.
Good vanity.
Libs: The prognosticators are simply procrastinators.
A couple of liberal experts on NPR both said it was not a wise award and Obama would probably suffer from the award because it enhances his rock star and globalism images.
If you look at all the little arrows and which way, on nearly every subject, they are pointing ... it is towards a NEWS MEDIA that is not doing their job. This is just another example. Its OK for me to be "flat-footed" ... but how about the people who get paid NOT TO get caught FLAT-FOOTED ... what are they doing, just reading Drudge?
If I was a "professional" reporter today, I'd be solely embarrassed!
Did any of us even know he was a nominee? I would think that bit of info would have been on FR if it were public knowledge.
“I went to Europe to buy the Olympics for Chicago, and all I got was this lousy Nobel”
