Oh, I remember it... all brings back pleasant memories of a much better time in the USA, if I had known it would go to the dumper I would have taken more time to appreciate the era.

What a fun night on FR**. Went to YouTub, watched those AND my all time fav, at least in those years, “Scotch and Soda” which still sounds pretty dang good. Sent the links to some old college friends who used to be co-singer/drinkers.

** nice diversion from eligibility

You probably don't know that they made this one and was made popular later by others.

Hah! I knew it. See my post # 8. :O) I grew up in Bobby's Uncle's neighborhood, watched and listened to them play in the garage. Medley wrote it, and the only other band that did better than they did with it, was up in Nanook of the North country (Minnesota), and that was a local band called the Chancellors. Curious, did you grow up in the South? Being, originally, from the West Coast, we had a different perspective than most of the Country did.

My husband knew Bobby in high school. My husband Fullerton and his best friend went to Anaheim, Hatfield went to Anaheim and they all graduated the same year... those were good days to be a Californian.

yes - I didn’t realize these would be in youTube - I’m copying a list for playing over and over.

I’ll go to bed tonight remembering all those wonderful years as a little girl on my grampa and grammie’s farm.

betcha my memories (years) go back further than yours ;o)

That's Ana-hiney, to you! (Rick Dees in the 80's) LOL

We lived in Baldwin Park, at the time. His Uncle lived caddy corner from us. They used to come there with College buddies so they could drink and smoke and play. I got free tickets when they did El Monte Legion Stadium with the group they were with. (forgot the name).

Yeah, they were great days to be a Californian, weren't they?

Which makes me all the more sad to see what has happened to the state. There was no better place to grow up than SoCal in the 50’s and 60’s.

My first year of High School was at Arroyo, right down the street from the “Legion”. You know I was late going home a lot. heehee

People ask me if I miss Cali. I say yeah, where’d they put it? Haven’t been back in over 10 years. Sad.

Bill Medley made a single called "Brown Eyed Woman" which was really something. It was a love song to a woman he was dating at the time. You can really hear the emotion.

I was always sorry that BobbyHatfield could not shake off his drug habit. We lost a great singer in him.

Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels did it too. Yup, grew up in the Mobile area.
