Hitler extends “an outstretched hand”... you catch that one? sound familiar?

how to score hitlers speech?

even in retrospect its not clear wether he realizes he has finally gone too far and wants to walk back the agression, or wether its still a game where he knows he is going to attack russia nd france and just setting the stage.
personally, i think he realizes he went too far and things will really get out of control.

Hitler was counting on Britain and France being more worried about the Soviets and thus, making a deal with Hitler to keep the Bolsheviks at bay.

One of the purposes of the Non-Aggression Pact from the German perspective was to encourage Soviet belligerence in Poland and the Baltics, to scare the Western Powers into making a deal with Germany.
