Below read a post by Hans von Spakovsky at "The Corner" blog at NationalReviewOnline about how the Eric Holder-run U.S. Department of Justice has reportedly established a disinformation unit at DOJ.
The Most Transparent Administration Ever? Not at DOJ [Hans von Spakovsky]
Is the Department of Justice engaging in fraud, or is it simply trying to hide its propaganda? Those of you wondering how DOJ uses your tax dollars to enforce our nations laws might be interested to learn that Eric Holder has apparently hired former Democratic campaign bloggers to work at the department in what appears to be a secret propaganda unit. According to a story at The Muffled Oar website, the bloggers are housed in the Office of Public Affairs (the press office). Their job is to place anonymous comments, or comments under pseudonyms, at newspaper websites with stories critical of the Department of Justice, Holder and President Obama. One of the bloggers is former DNC and John Edwards staffer Tracy Russo, whose name was featured prominently on the departments introduction of its new website on October 1.
This raises a question: did DOJ disinformation operatives recently post anonymous counter comments at the online version of the Pasadena Star News' story about Pasadena Police Chief Bernard Melekian accepting the head position in the DOJ Community Office of Policing (COPS)?
Pasadena Police Chief Bernard Melekian is certainly a class act and does not deserve any bashing over the actions of his forces during his tenure in Pasadena. But there is a highly vocal seemingly orchestrated anonymous minority who seem to make a career of posting their over-the-top criticisms online any chance they can get.

Below are the anonymous "comments" posted under the Star News article. Do you think DOJ disinformation operatives are anonymously posting in the local newspaper?

You're a moron! Move back to California. Also, do us all a favor and go back to school and learn to write. Concentrate on the use of periods to end complete sentences.

how was Pasadena's 1993 gang injunction the first in the county? did the 1987 injunction in L.A. not count?
They had the NEA and now the DOJ bloggers... and of course their about to have AmeriCorps et al under the control of a partisan extremist as well.
The anonymous anti-police bloggers are critical of officer-involved shootings of so-called minority criminals in Pasadena. The Obama administration would want to deter any criticism that it had hired a police chief to run its COPS program who was associated with such controversial actions. The police chief is beyond reproach. But does the DOJ anonymously post comments in local newspapers to defend or deter any unjust criticism of Obama administration? Interesting that recently bloggers may have to disclose any sources of gifts but anonymous government bloggers don’t have to disclose their identity or who pays them.
So this explains various trolls on FR. I wish FR would put an ignore button or a poster rating button on FR.
Here is another slant on this issue - police have free speech rights but it would be inadvisable for them to use their names when commenting on blogs on crime issues. So how do we protect police free speech rights on blogs?
Everything that comes out of this Administration is disinformation.
That is a page right out of the ChiCom’s playbook.
Who are the new trolls?
