I do not want to give my 14 year old son the Swine Flu vaccine. Nor will I take it.
I don't want to argue with your choice or try to persuade you to do something you don't want to do but I just want to point out that your words are also saying this:

I do not want my 14 year old son's body to be trained to defend itself against swine flu. Nor will I allow that training in my body either.

You seem to ignore any possible side effects in your statement. Surely you would consider side-effects and complications of a new vaccine being pushed down our throats via presidential panic news confs when making this choice. Also, this is the same guy (president) who warns of dire imminent consequences for not passing stimulus, health care annexation, etc. I am extremely skeptical of this entire swine flu media frenzy, and have been since it started last year.

DOes what I am saying make semse? In considering the potential benefits of a vaccine, it is of dubious wisdom or advisability to simply not consider the downside of sticking it in your (or your childrens’) bodies.

You are incorrect.
The swine flu vaccine is a live vaccine. It causes swine flu, hopefully a small enough and attenuated amount of virus will cause a sub clinical illness and confer immunity. But you are a carrier for awhile after the innoculation and spread the disease, perhaps to someone who is immuno-compromised. People have died from the swine flu immunization. Don’t just buy into what you are told by the Government. Why are they making such a fuss about this flu? We have flu deaths every year, and this flu is not more lethal than most. There are stories about Navy deaths after inoculations but those may or may not be true. I certainly would not put down anyone who is not willing to have swine flu vaccine. Its a judgment issue and as a physician I’m not having the inoculation, nor will I be giving it to family.

I take it you will be one of the sheep lining up for your dose of untested poison because the government says it’s good for you. I’ll do you one better- you can have my dose, my husband’s dose and our three kids’ doses, too, since we will not be allowing that filth anywhere near our bodies. We will continue to be strong, happy and healthy while our vaccine-taking friends continue to run to the doctor every month and wonder why they feel terrible and catch every ‘bug’ that comes down the pike.

Yikes!!!

It is that type of thinking that is going to bring on mandatory vaccines from Obamacare zealots for conditions which are wholly preventable without the potentially dangerous injections given based on a one-size-fits-all mentality.

Look at where we've come to already because of mostly unfounded scare tactics: several localities already instituting or considering mandatory vaccines for a bug that is relatively mild and which can generally be avoided by having a healthy immune system (plenty of sun for vitamin D, healthy diet, exercise, proper hygiene, etc.)

Consider one example from the state of TX. A governor with very strong ties to its manufacturer (Merck) mandated by executive order that Gardasil be given to ALL young school girls essentially to vaccinate them against a disease (HPV) which can mostly be avoided simply by not being a slut. A vaccine which can claim among other side effects an increased level of slutty behavior.

Now consider the potential for abuse under a federally mandated system such as Obamacare. It's quite freightening despite the intended calming effect of Obama appearing yesterday with a flock of white-coated doctors (several of whom had to be handed spare whites for the photo op by Obama operatives).

Perhaps not being a tramp is too much to ask of our young girls.

Perhaps some people, such as yourself, will always rely on the government and its contracted suppliers to concoct the next unproven but highly profitable means for your "body to be trained to defend itself against" each trumped up threat that comes along.

Perhaps the marriage of technology and tyranny will eventually make the vaccine which can combat the germ of free-thinking a glorious reality.

Perhaps. But not on my watch!
