“Carrie Fisher a sex symbol as Princess Leah? I don’t see it. I can’t believe she was ever considered a sex symbol.”

Maybe she wasn’t in the original Star Wars (though she did jiggle here and there), but she certainly was in Return of the Jedi. You are free to disagree—though that would lead me to ask if you’re blind—but it’s hard to argue with the popular response. Her gold-bikini sexiness is a pop-cultural touchstone.

I only saw the original Star Wars movie. She wore that long white robe and her hair wrapped around her ears like ear muffs.
