I just got Beck’s book ARGUING WITH IDIOTS and started to read it and so far it’s great! This one together with Michelle Malkin’s book CULTURE OF CORRUPTION and the great one Mark Levin’s book LIBERTY AND TYRANNY are must reads!
You’re right: Glenn Beck is no Ted Baxter (Rush’s name for BOR) and thank goodness!! Oh, might want to get an editor...

One thing that Glenn is not filled with is hate.
He wears his heart on his sleeve. His range of emotions are clearly visible for anyone to see.

I had a census worker come up my driveway (despite my no trespassing sign and gate at the end of my driveway) telling me that he was there because the county didn’t have our street on the map that they gave the census bureau. This could have been true if the census bureau was working off of five year old maps, but then he proceeded to ask me questions about my house, like did I have an apartment over the garage. There is no way he could have known that unless he had been looking at my house plans. I told him it was none of his business. He said ok.
Niall O’Dowd is obviously a racist.
Beck certainly has his share of faults and I disagree with some of what he says and does, but, in my opinion, it can be nothing but a plus (+) for him if he is no zero’pinhead—and I wholeheartedly agree that he is not!

The Southern tribes didn't get their blue eyes until their women met the Sa'ami, and that didn't happen until about 1100 years ago once permanent contact was made.

Well now, I was poking fun at the Nazi belief in what constitutes a `true Aryan’. The WWII allies used to joke that a true Aryan is

Anyway, tell us more about the Sa’ami.
They became genetically isolated from the Europeans some time toward the end of the peak period of glaciation, so that could be anywhere from 19000 years ago to 17000 years ago. There was little subsequent contact until about 900 AD when they began regular trade with the Norse.
The Ancient Greeks claimed to have visited the area and saw people skiing. They've also lived further South and covered the entire Fenno Scandian peninsula up until Norse incursions in the 1st or 2nd centuries made that difficult ~ they simply moved North.
A very good case can be made that they became the source of the clear corneas and irises that work together to give you a lifetime of baby blue eyes. The people further to the North and East in Asia proper, and in Siberia, at higher latitudes, also have blue eyes.
You can take your pick ~ Invaders from Siberia, or Invaders from the Sapma. That's where those blue eyes HAVE to come from! And that means there was plenty of contact at an unknown time.
Several linguists have suggested several features in German languages must necessarily derive from the far older Sa'ami languages. In an earlier time it was thought the Germans always had the superior technology so they must have lent those grammatical features to the Sa'ami. Later analysis has determined the features arrived when the Sa'ami were definitely the superior, and possibly even more numerous group, and the primitive Germans were helpless in their linguistic grasp. (BTW, theory is that terms from higher technology cultures flow to lower technology cultures).
Thank you for that exposition about the Sa’ami. I will save it and re read it with great interest.
Not being an ethnological scholar, I can only conclude that your historiography explains somewhat that which I have read for many years concerning modern Russians, mainly that there is a significant ethnic difference between Russians who pride themselves for their blond features said to be descended from Swedes or Vikings (Rus’ means to row, a la Norse longboats) and ‘southern’ Russians such as Ossetians, Cossacks, etc.
As for eye color, my Slovenian eyes are grey and I have been an expert Army marksman to this very day (I’m sixty) and only since 2006 have I been obliged to wear reading glasses. Ambrose Bierce wrote during the Civil War that grey eyes are keenest, and that all famous marksmen had them.
There are also two different pigments, and some eye colors aren't possible without the right pigment. A fairly recent study this last year revealed up to 15 genes have input into this situation.
It's far more complex than was ever believed possible ~ but the modern blue eyes really do have to have genes originating in the far North, and the Norse didn't!
One thing is certain: two years hence Niall O'Dowd will continue to be toiling in bitter anonymity.
As an American whose ancestors happen to be Irish... Mr. O’Dowd, sir, you are an a$$.
