The only people who have the power to accomplish what you're talking about are the very same people who comprise the problem. For better or worse, the Constitutional Amendment process is rigged against individual citizens.

Unfortunately, "ensuring Democrat control over the short term" will, through amnesty and hidden ACORNs, ensure Democrat control over a very long term.

On the positive side Obama -- in his rush to be The Messiah -- overplayed his hand. We could have continued the slow slide to socialism under Demopublican rule, but now that people have a better idea of where they're taking us, perhaps we can maintain a counteracting force.

Who will lead us? We the People. On a local and state level those who emerge as good candidates should be supported.

Daniel Hannan co-authored a treatise on localism, to guide the UK out of the wilderness.

Sarah Palin, in her Hong Kong speech spoke of the American people and their power, starting at the local level.

The Tea Party groups are an ideal way to communicate and permit citizens to organize at the locally. Those with funds to spare can assist by funding technical and campaign support.

It’s up to US. Each and every individual who cares for and supports what the United States of America has and should represent. Folks like Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Jim DeMint and other upstanding citizens with widespread name recognition can help by giving us moral support, and in some cases, a forum upon which to build momentum and support of good legislation and congressional investigations.

In order to succeed, people of good will and character MUST act on a local level. It can begin by simple things: hosting a byo BBQ, writing OP-eds in a local paper. Getting local advertisers to promote a locally-focused citizen blog and information website.

Get to know [if you don’t already] you neighbors. Speak candidly and openly. It’s not about party affiliation. It is about what we as a people united in a constitutional republic support. I believe central tenents should be the constitution, truly representative government by honest brokers, and commitment to stand up for the rule of law.

Therefore, I along with thousands of others need to begin. NOW. One company I know of has started by distributing a pocket constitution to every new hire. I plan on hosting a byo event and asking attendees to carry the message to their own circles of friends and family.

Ideally, those who initiate the process would put together a list-serve [or work to the same end with the Tea Party folks or other like-minded, truly grassroots organization.

Due to political correctness, ignorance due to the MSM failing in its duty, and working longer and harder for a wage that has had its value depreciated, has resulted in dwindling social events and lack of discourse on topics vital to our nation and it’s people.

Isn’t time to reverse the process?
