Sounds like a great way for a struggling business to break a lease.
You have to put this in terms of unintended consequences.

The landlord. I hope others do the same and that mall will end up in Chapter 11.

I think the Simon Group did this at a Mall in North Carolina. In these times I assume Simon Group is eligible for a bailout.
