good grief... weather weenies are predictin’ .5” ice accumulation Monday nite, followed by 6-12” of snow... temps in single digits at night throughout the week... sounds like a repeat of ‘05...
Well, we hope it won’t be, those experiences should be strictly limited, to say, oh, once.
For us it was 2002, we all still remember it all to well.
Snow is fine, ice is not.
At least with this go ‘round I’ve got a gas stove.
Need to get a wood stove.

This is more normal, sleet before snow. I used the grippers to tarp the windshield. Driveway was slick.
Weatherguys keep upping the ante.
Hopefully it’ll be upped enough so I won’t have to go out in the blizzard tomorrow morning.

Heh...in and out hoping the weather will get better....tracking muddy paw prints on my floor.
I’m staying home today.
Made that executive decision so put it under “Leadership” on my PMP.
Should we think you are serious, we would point out that hobbits are a race of the people of Middle Earth as portrayed in The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings.
As for "people keep posting this crap", why, yes we do. We're on our Thirty-Eighth thread since 2002.
In that time we've
- met, formed deep lasting friendships
- gathered together on numerous occasions in locations across the United States
- fallen in love, married, birthed children, buried family members
- sheltered and cared for animals of all kinds form betta fish to chickens to horses
- spent thousands of hours and dollars supporting our troops at home and abroad
- rallied and worked for conservative causes and candidates
- worshipped our Creator
- prayed for one another
- participated in missions trips and disaster relief efforts
- supported Free Republic and it's founder
So, as long as said founder allows, we'll keep posting this "crap."
