Red's hometown is about an hour south of here. I never get tired of hearing this, and in these times, I believe we all need a little Red.

Neat historical note at the end, he says “Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country, and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance: Under God. Wouldn’t it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer, and that would be eliminated from schools, too?”
Another random historical note I read recently that the Pledge of Allegiance was actually written by a Socialist Baptist minister, Francis Bellamy in 1892.

I just shared that with my granddaughter. Her middle school class says the pledge every morning and she wants to tell them about this video.
I was so surprised to learn that my grandson who just started kindergarden is learning the words to "Grand Old Flag".
