Funny. Our kids suffered from ear infections in their early years in Dallas. When doctors threatened ear tubes, we traced the problem to mold allergies. We moved to a drier climate -- Arizona -- and our kid's allergies cleared up.
Message: everyone's different. An important part of life is figuring out how your body works best, and doing something about it.

My communist father in law is from Hawaii and used to have allergies until he moved to Arizona.
I myself never had allergies until about the last 7 years during spring and summer. I have lived in Arizona my whole life.
I now get a Kenalog shot 1 or times per year.

When doctors threatened ear tubes, My daughter got constant back to back ear infections. As soon as the RX ran out, the infection came back. Hesitatingly, she got the tubes--best thing I ever did. She never had another ear infection from that point forward.
