DENVER (AP) -- The U.S. Forest Service has apologized for suggesting that campers who eat tortillas, drink Tecate beer and play Spanish music may be armed marijuana growers, calling it "regrettable" and "insensitive

I wonder if the MSM will apologize for suggesting that white voters who don’t like marxist policies are racists?
I’m glad we were set straight on that. After all, white campers wearing plaid shirts and penny loafers and eating deviled ham and cucumber sandwiches on white bread could just as easily be farming marijuana in a national forest.
After all the Roman government did apologize to Alaric and his followers for their sacking of Rome in 410 A.D. Our government can at least do the same to those who are helping to conquer us!
“Im glad we were set straight on that. After all, white campers wearing plaid shirts and penny loafers and eating deviled ham and cucumber sandwiches on white bread could just as easily be farming marijuana in a national forest.”
Yes, but that’s not the way to bet!
Bingo!
I’ve camped in that very National Forest, with tortillas, beans and Pacifico beer (never was much for Tecate).
The plain truth is that most parks warn visitors to be aware of ‘trespassing’ on someone’s patch, regardless of the race, creed, color of the perp:
This is from 2002. I am sure things haven’t gotten better:
“The potential for violence is great at cannabis cultivation sites. Domestic cannabis growers often are heavily armed and commonly use booby traps and warning devices to protect their cultivation sites. The U.S. Forest Service reports that visitors to public lands may be endangered by the presence of cannabis cultivation sites, which routinely are booby-trapped with explosives, trip wires, hanging fishhooks, punji sticks, and other dangerous devices.”

In 2005 there were warnings that Mexican drug production would increase here in the states.
A February 2005 report, ``Marijuana and Methamphetamine Trafficking on Federal Lands Threat Assessment,’’ concluded that already high levels of cultivation of cannabis and methamphetamine production by Mexican drug-trafficking organizations are likely to increase.
``Cannabis cultivators and methamphetamine producers on federal lands often are armed, and cannabis grow sites and methamphetamine laboratories frequently are booby-trapped. Law enforcement officers have seized shotguns, handguns, automatic weapons, pipe bombs, grenades, and night vision equipment from drug producers and smugglers on federal lands.’’

If I had a good supply of tortillas and beer, why the hell would I want to leave home and go out into the woods anyway? Add beans and the rest of my family might...
Clearly the profile of a Poppy grower.
Ah, but PC forbids the Forest Service from real world reasoning.
Just a thought, the growers tend not to have their kids with them. The ordinary campers are most likely not armed to the teeth either. Maybe the memo should read scruffy Hispanic men camping with Ak-47s might be suspicious.
They should have surrendered nicely liked they were asked.
More that of a poopy camper...
Nope. I stick to tomatoes.
I guess you don’t listen to Spanish music. That drives people to cultivate pot I hear.
The only thing Spanish music does is make me want to drink more beer.
