O’Reilly is not a “conservative”.....and never has been. He’s a “traditionalist” which is not the same.
O’Reilly’s point of reference and the point at which he judges things is the span of his life. Thus, government involvement is healthcare or welfare is okay, to some subjective limit, since that’s been the norm during his lifetime. A liberal with idealism is okay to him since he’s experienced libs in his lifetime with good intentions if poor results.
Bill’s dopleganger is ethics, be they left or right, and sticking to them once in power. If a lib pol can convince Bill that Government care is good and legit, then Bill can throw in with it. Constitutionality be darned since this is not a traditionally foreign concept.
