From her upcoming album posted at her Youtube page.
Interesting. It’s a good version.
I prefer the remake by The Sundays, however.

You’re killin’ me... I’m having 80’s flashbacks...
Did you know Flock of Seagulls actually had a “best of” album? ;)
Boyle’s version may be inspired by this one:

I love SuBo’s version, too. Good luck to her.
Susan Boyle Tops Amazon Chart With November Release
Preorders for her forthcoming album, I Dreamed a Dream, put her ahead of Whitney Houston and the Beatles on best-sellers list.

The other day I was telling a friend that back in the 1980’s when met a girl and she mentioned that she was really into The Cure, that I would immediately walk away.
I liked “The Sundays” version of the song.
Shortest. Recording. Ever.
And I am LOL at "Depeche Commode"...hehehe
No my words, but the words of the Dead Milkmen.
The best I ever came up with was calling The Cure, The Queer.
Dittos
Is she crossing over to Country Western?
Much luck to her and her puddycat.
I was one of the few i knew when this song was released by the Stones, who actually liked it.A song about watching a junkie slowly kill themselves is not the most uplifting of songs to listen too.But i still like it and i think Susan does a damn fine job of reworking it.
I agree. Could not imagine this particular song slow but I love it and the song is beautiful. Good for her. Damn, I wish I could sing!
It was way too slow, repetitious and long.
Besides, it’s HOR-ses not hor-SES.
Yeah, I know the song...I was just skimming too fast to make that connection! :)
That’s a good name for The Cure...ugh!
On a related note, I listen to Pandora.com during the day at work. I generally prefer the Alternative Rock station. Apparently it has decided (from my other musical choices) that I really REALLY like Morrissey and The Smiths.
If I had to listen to that dreck all the time, I’d slit my wrists!
Ummm, that's the point, dude. :-)
I've never listened to the original but I do love her version.
yea :-) i got that after i posted, lol.. i was looking for the wild horses i guess , not enough coffee this moring i guess.
It was kinda obscure. I was wondering how many people would get the joke.
I could have made a joke about Keith Richards and Ron Wood backing her up, but that was too obvious. :-)
Shouldn't be in the same sentence.
One is noise, the other a singer with a beautiful voice.
I remember when singers had to be able to sing.
She sounds like herself when she recorded "Cry Me a River." Very bluesy. You can find it on Youtube. Perhaps her voice sounds different in a large hall than in a recording studio.
