No way! They shuld be white to provide contrast to the walls and to be able to find in dim light.

Ok since you didn’t really solicit opinions, I’ll give one anyway.... I’d go with matching the wall color - it’s not like the covers are artwork you want to highlight...they should blend in with the wall -

and for my opinion: it doesn’t even really matter, it’s a dang guest room, people are only going to be in there to sleep and your grandchildren are only going to tear it up anyway! AND the end times are coming!
at the happy hour gathering at my friend’s house on Friday, one of the women brought fabric samples and wicker samples etc. for us to give input on the indoor porch they are doing as an addition to the house. i turned to kelly and said, i can’t believe she’s spending the $ on all of this with the END TIMES coming. She and i roared, bc kelly is on board with the end times. Ellen said, well we can’t take it with us, might as well spend it, which i guess is true. we did then all say that we should just go to europe with all the tuition money if that’s the case, which i have been thinking for awhile.

i do not get this. the vaccine would be for the girls OWN protection. cervical cancer is not a contagious disease which were she not vaccinated for, she would spread through the population. the illegals who are here are probably not vaccinated against COMMUNICABLE diseases which will spread through the population but we will just give them amnesty anyway.

OMG why is walking to school all alone the end all and be all to so many people? i didn't do it, my kids never did it and somehow i don't think we missed out on an invaluable life experience.

"You don't find too many players like that who still love the game," said Harvin, a first-round pick from Florida. "That's what makes him special and separates him from a lot of people. For him to be that old -- he's got a daughter my age -- and still has a love for the game, going to meetings and all that stuff. He's by himself."

Just part of the reason we love Favre. He is the man, and he loves the game.

love of the game by an oldtimer isn't all that rare a commodity.

All Favre is doing is what almost every athlete does – play until no one will let you. If being a starting NFL quarterback is the greatest job in the world – and for a guy like Favre, it most certainly is – then why give it up?

Knock on wood it does not come out in sermons, or we would leave as well. We have a very small congregation and politics plays no roll in anything, really. While many members do tend to trend democrat in their voting, they are still pretty conservative. It’s the newer members, such as the ones I mentioned earlier, that have the more liberal tendencies.

I would love to be a fly on the wall of the special vestry meeting that would be called if we started getting “politics from the pulpit.”

Sure it is. Most are so beat up in 5 years, they can’t wait to get out and sit on their money and find good orthopods to fix their parts.

The big sports question today is why hasn’t tennis found a can of balls to suspend Serena for a year?

so why does he keep retiring at the end of one season, only to have these divaesque fits and come back? seriously, like i said, i never cared a whit about him one way or the other but the histrionics the past two seasons have undermined him terribly.

Favre has made these decisions into unseemly, shallow soap operas. He’s turned his image from a likable guy into the biggest diva in the league. Brett Favre is what Terrell Owens dreams of becoming. This is Favre’s fifth potential curtain call. He doesn’t realize the number of people asking for one more song keeps dwindling. It’s understandable that a guy would get to the end of a season and be so battered physically and emotionally that he calls it quits only to find rejuvenation in the offseason. It just doesn’t happen this many times. Favre is a hopeless egomaniac. He’s gotten great mileage from giving terrific interviews and making the older white men who populate the elite of the NFL media feel comfortable. The breathless reports of him being a humble good ol’ boy who plays solely for the love of the game never cease. He’s his own worst enemy though, annually undermining that carefully crafted persona.
