Rafael Nadal looked lost, swallowed up by the huge serves and crushing forehands coming at him from the 6-foot-6 opponent across the net.
That was Juan Martin del Potro, who made his first Grand Slam final, handing Nadal a 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 loss Sunday at the U.S. Open the worst loss Rafa has suffered in a major tournament.
"I think this is the best moment of my life," del Potro said.

I guess del Potro is the real deal...hard to believe we have a 6’6” player in the final...Isner was 6’9” i believe.
That was a really good match. Del Potro played as well as I have seen him. If he meets RF in the final, though, it will be interesting. I think Roger is in Del Potro’s head just like Nadal is in Roger’s.
And I think Del Potro’s parents mis-named him. He looks like a “Vinnie” to me....

LOL
Go Juan, go. I would love to see him win, as much as I like RF. We need a change of the guard.
I’m torn on this...Roger is such a classy champion....del Potro would shake things up for sure....i predict RF will keep the title though....this has been a great Open for sure.
