An Elmira man wanted on burglary and other charges was apprehended Saturday after a standoff at a residence in the village of Watkins Glen.

Karseen J. Atkinson, 30, was arrested on a parole warrant for absconding, and also charged with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree intimidating a witness, according to Horseheads state police.

Atkinson is also facing a prior second-degree burglary charge filed by the Elmira Police Department.

All four charges are felonies.

I remember attending an SCCA-sanctioned (Sports Car Club of America) race at the Watkins Glen course. Maybe they could chain the fellow to a vintage Triumph, MG, Austin-Healy or Porsche for an up-close and personal tour.

most are a new wave moving closer to their father/son/brother/whoever that is incarcerated either in Elmira or SouthPort prison and found their welfare can be transferred up here and no more bus rides from the city and back, so... they move HERE!!!

but this sounds more like one of the mutts coming down from Rochester dealing coke in Elmira/Corning

The Morgan is my life-long favorite car. Almost bought one back in 1968 but my better judgement prevailed.

all the little waterfalls going up the Glen have small pools(reflecting as in thoughts i guess) where people would throw in change like wishing wells.
