On September 15 and 16, 47 talk radio hosts from across the country, including Lou Dobbs, will broadcast continuously live both days from the Phoenix Park Hotel on Capitol Hill as part of Hold Their Feet to the Fire 2009 Radio-thon. They are gathering to remind Congress and the new administration that rampant illegal immigration, efforts to grant amnesty, and taxpayer subsidized health care benefits to millions of law-breakers are hot button issues for the American public.
Organized by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and Radio America Networks' Roger Hedgecock, Hold Their Feet to the Fire's participating talk hosts will speak with listeners, immigration experts, high profile media personalities, and activists about critical immigration policy issues. They will discuss the cost and impact of continued illegal immigration on jobs, wages, education, the environment and national security, the loopholes within America's Affordable Health Care Act of 2009 allowing illegal aliens access to tax-payer funded benefits, needed reauthorization of E-Verify, and the Obama Administration's plans for amnesty.

Why do we never hear about how Pres. Truman sent illegal Mexicans back to Mexico on trains during his administration??
bttt
That would because he was a Democrat and the libs just love that revisionist history...
Great idea...Hold their Feet IN the FIRE!
Well, lots of luck if it gets as much front page coverage in the WAPO as yesterday’s March on Washington, which is zero, zip, nada, “you don’t exist”, null.
Here traffic was shut down because of the crowd, various estimates were between 1 and 2 million, the attitudes were civil and the message clear.
But even the Washington Post online couldn’t find one pixel for a photo or one line for a mention.
The fact that the march was carried full by C-SPAN, and got coverage at least on CNN and Fox, tells readers of the WAPO that they’re getting short changed for their subscription dollars.
You mean people actually pay for the WaPo? Well, I guess there are people who will pay to get lied to. Or maybe they’re paying to have their fantasy world described: “Imagine: a world without rightwing nutcases.” Voila, the WaPo creates one. ShaZaaamm!
“The Buck Stops Here” Harry did that??? WOW. Mexico would have a problem if we did that now!
I believe it was Eisenhower not Truman - Operation Wetback.
Here’s how Eisenhower dealt with illegals. Go to the link and read the whole article.

How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico
By John Dillin

In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph “Jumpin’ Joe” Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.
Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement, Brownell said. But General Swing’s close connections to the president shielded him - and the Border Patrol - from meddling by powerful political and corporate interests.
One of Swing’s first decisive acts was to transfer certain entrenched immigration officials out of the border area to other regions of the country where their political connections with people such as Senator Johnson would have no effect.
Then on June 17, 1954, what was called “Operation Wetback” began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.
By mid-July, the crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, and eastward to Texas.
By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily.

Lou Dobbs will be the next target of the radical left.
Hats off to the "good guys". Our people are fighting for the country - - wish our representatives would ...
Dems are haters - they don't even have to be "radical" anymore to be that way. I hope Lou moves to FOX someday - with people who will appreciate him.
