First of all, I did not fly into a rage. I agree that those who may have are foolish. It was not that big a deal. What you may be missing is that a substantial part of the reporting of the “outcry” over this came from the same media that lauds President Obama. It is possible that they were overhyping it to make conservatives look bad, I don’t know.
I and many others are tired of that well warn race card you and others like you seem to think is so appropriate. It is a lie, just like much of what Obama keeps repeating about the health care bill. I care nothing about the man’s race. I am proud that America has progressed to the point of placing a man of color in the white house. But I detest the man’s politics.
I agree with you on medicare. It is as socialist as one can get, and it was enacted by Republicans. It disgusts me. But you have a real problem don’t you? If Obama enacts health care “reform” as written in the current bill it will extend the socialist failure of medicare to the whole of America. Is that what you are arguing for? Health care needs reform. A government takeover of medicine is not reform, it is socialism, just as you say, and it will be a disaster if it is enacted.
I disagree with your statement that conservatives believe anything Democrat, or liberal or left is evil. Broad brush statements like that are foolish and childish. Please also understand there is a big difference between a Republican and a conservative; they are not interchangeable.
There is plenty of blame to go around for the mess this country is in. I have said for years that Republicans and Democrats are both going to screw us, it will just be in different ways. Lately the difference has narrowed. And while there are shallow idiots on both sides, so far we only have confirmation of 50% of that on this thread.
As for the Constitution, why don’t you fill me in on what I don’t know about it? I could use some help. I would like to know more about the phrase “a wall of separation of between church and state”. Where can I find it? Who wrote it? It seems to be used out of context a lot. Can you help me w/ that? Thanks!

I think I remember medicare was created during the LBJ administration.
